# Questions about Girard.

Short answers to common questions about Girard.

01 · About Girard

## About Girard.

What is Girard?

Girard (usegirard.com) is seller-side pre-sales software for B2B sales teams. Before an enterprise buyer signs, Girard gets the decision of each named owner in security, product, finance, legal and procurement, keeps their limits private, remembers every decision, and produces the answers and the paperwork on one deal record.

What does "pre-sales" cover?

Everything a buyer asks for between the first yes and the signature: security questionnaires, product commitments, discounts and payment terms, contract changes, and the supplier paperwork through to the first invoice. Girard does not find leads, send cold email or book meetings.

Does Girard handle e-signature and billing?

It hands off to them. Contracts go to Docusign or PandaDoc for signature, and signed terms go to Stripe, QuickBooks or NetSuite.

How do I see Girard?

Book a demo and bring one stuck deal.

02 · How it works

## How it works.

Does my rep have to learn a new tool?

Your rep forwards the buyer's email to your company's forwarding address and confirms which deal it belongs to. The answers and paperwork come back ready, and the reply goes out from the rep's own mailbox.

Do owners have to log in?

Not to decide. Owners can reply to the email in plain words, use a link on their phone, or press a button in Slack or Teams. Signing off a written statement from email goes through a one-time sign-in link.

Can Girard fill in the buyer's own spreadsheet?

Yes. Girard fills the buyer's Excel or Word file and keeps its tabs, dropdowns, merged cells and formulas, and adds a PDF of every output.

Which security questionnaires does Girard support?

SIG Lite and SIG Core 2026, CAIQ 4.1, HECVAT 4 and the new AI questionnaires are mapped in advance. Any custom questionnaire works too, matched question by question.

Do we need past questionnaires to start?

No. Girard starts from past questionnaires if you have them, otherwise from your company documents, otherwise from the first live questionnaire.

How does Girard handle procurement paperwork?

It keeps your supplier facts once, reads each buyer's onboarding packet into a requirement list, fills their forms and portals, sends attestations to the named signer, and drafts renewal chases before certificates expire.

Who sends the reply to the buyer?

A person on your team, from their own mailbox, unless you have switched on a specific action type for an agent.

Does Girard negotiate on our behalf?

Only inside limits your owners set in advance, and only for action types you switch on, one at a time. It is off by default. New positions and signatures always go to a person.

Can Girard work with a buyer's AI agent?

Yes. Girard gives a buyer's agent a private door tied to one deal. It answers only with signed-off items or action types you have switched on, and everything else becomes an ask for your team.

03 · Trust and what buyers see

## Trust and what buyers see.

Can the AI send something wrong to a buyer?

Only content an owner has signed off can reach a buyer, and that rule is enforced in the software that produces every document. Unsigned answers print "Answer to follow". Every claim shows its source, and a claim with no source needs the owner to state it in their own words and attach evidence. The risk that remains is small but not zero: a true answer matched to the wrong question. Your rep sees every match before anything is sent.

What does the buyer see?

Signed-off answers with their evidence dates, "Answer to follow" for anything still open, and "Approved by" your company with a date. The buyer never sees a person's name, an owner, a due date, a limit or a draft.

Does Girard give confidence scores?

No. Every answer shows its source and its date instead, which is what a buyer's own review checks.

What is a limit?

The line an owner sets in advance for a term, such as the largest discount or the longest payment terms. Asks inside it are answered at once. Limits are never shown to reps or buyers.

What is sign-off?

An owner's approval of a single claim, with its evidence. Only signed-off content can reach a buyer, and each sign-off starts an expiry clock on its evidence.

What is the commitment record?

One row for every promise made in any lane: the customer, what was promised, where it came from, who authorised it, and whether it was offered, approved, in the contract, owed, kept or missed.

What is an evidence pack?

A Word and PDF document with the evidence behind each signed-off answer and its date. It never shows a limit or a person's name.

What is a trust page?

A public page with your published security posture. Buyers can request the audit report behind a click-through confidentiality agreement, and a chat returns signed-off answers word for word.
